Fiio has now officially announced the M11 Plus, an improved version of their M11 Pro. Swapping the CPU from a Exynos 7872 to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, this should offer a faster and more fluid user interface.
With this improvement in processing, the M11 Plus also comes with Android 10 instead of Android 7 which was loaded on the M11 Pro. The RAM has also been upgraded, from 3GB found on the Pro to 4GB on the Plus, although internal storage does remain at 64GB.
The musical side of this DAP, in other words the DAC and amp, stays as it was on the M11 Pro, using a dual AK4497EQ along with a THX AA-78 amp module. As the AKM chips are currently out of production, the M11 Plus is to be a limited run of 6000 units in the aluminum version and 1000 units in stainless steel.
